Code of Conduct

The Valley Forge Military Academy Summer Camp is part of the school's comprehensive program for providing campers with the very best in recreational and educational opportunities.

Each camper is taught the fundamentals of various sports to allow him/her to participate in team activities. It is the responsibility of the staff to assist the camper in developing skills that will give him/her great pleasure and confidence for every one of their achievements.

 

Objectives:

  • We seek to maintain good order and discipline.
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment for every camper and staff.
  • Promote camper's taking on responsibility for caring for their own belongings and living areas.
  • Provide an atmosphere conducive to harmonious group living.
  • Provide for the preservation of Valley Forge Military's property and reputation.
  • Encourage mannerly behavior and self-discipline.
  • Provide a strong sense of personal responsibility.

 

Consequences:

If your child's conduct has challenged our goals or has severely threatened these objectives, we will always counsel him/her. These include:

  • Actions that put himself/herself or others at risk.
  • Not harmonious with other campers and staff.
  • Failure to take direction or instruction from those in authority.
  • Disrespect towards Valley Forge Military or other's property.

 

If your camper's conduct falls severely short, we will inform you of his/her misbehavior and may ask you for assistance. In most cases this will be a warning. We will document all offenses and they will be on file with the Commandants. Certain offenses will not get a warning, and parents will be asked to withdraw their camper from camp. These include:

  • Possession of illegal drugs/substances or alcohol.
  • Malicious injury to himself/herself or others.
  • Destruction of property.
